Our establishment and growth
The Vietnamese Knowledge Network in New Zealand (VKNZ) was established in July 2026 to connect and mobilise the knowledge of Vietnamese communities, strengthen community ties, advance people-to-people cooperation, and contribute to the shared development of Việt Nam and New Zealand.
An open, nationwide community
VKNZ currently brings together nearly 100 members across New Zealand, including experts, scientists, academics, lecturers, entrepreneurs, postgraduate researchers, students and workers. The network values academic knowledge, professional expertise and practical experience.
A bridge for knowledge and talent
VKNZ provides a channel for sharing New Zealand knowledge and experience with Việt Nam while connecting Việt Nam’s practical needs with Vietnamese experts in New Zealand. The network seeks to advance joint research, academic exchange, collaborative education, knowledge transfer, innovation, and cooperation among universities, research institutes and businesses in both countries, while connecting younger generations with established experts, academics and entrepreneurs.
Community and partnership
VietKnowledge NZ strengthens people-to-people connections between Việt Nam and New Zealand and operates with the support and companionship of the Embassy of Việt Nam in New Zealand.
